The final match was very exciting. There was a tough competition between the two teams, but the Indian players maintained the pressure from the beginning. The only goal of the match for India was scored by forward player Lalremsiami.
Lalremsiami gave India the lead
In the 10th minute of the match, Sakshi showed great intelligence and passed the ball towards Lalremsiami. Lalremsiami immediately changed his direction and made a brilliant tomahawk shot. His shot went towards the goal with such speed and accuracy that the Chinese goalkeeper could not stop it. The ball went straight to the corner of the goal post and India got a 1-0 lead. After this, China tried to equalize and put continuous pressure on the Indian goal. However, the Indian defense played brilliantly. The players stopped every attack of China and maintained their lead till the last minute of the match. Ultimately, India won the gold medal by winning the match 1-0.
