Highest individual score in T20 : About 13 years ago, when Universe Boss Chris Gayle played an unbeaten inning of 175 runs in the IPL, people thought that it was almost impossible to break this record. But, South African batsman Luan-Dre Pretorius has made that impossible task possible. Left-handed top-order batsman Pretorius smashed an unbeaten 188 off just 79 balls in South Africa's domestic CSA T20 Challenge. With this, the record of the highest individual score in a T20 innings has been made in his name.

20-year-old Luan-Dre Pretorius, playing for the Titans, batted brilliantly in his very first match of the tournament. During this period he hit 13 sixes and 15 fours. In doing so, Pretorius broke the record for the most runs scored by a batsman in a single innings in the 20-over format. Earlier this record was in the name of veteran Chris Gayle, who scored unbeaten 175 for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors in the Indian Premier League in 2013. Pretorius was on pace to reach a double century, but the overs ran out and the Titans ended their innings at 267 for 3.
