Tom Cruise said, ‘Making this film requires a lot of skill, ability and imagination. I have never read such a character. We just keep learning, keep creating. Avneet happily said that she had never seen Tom playing such a character before. The actress asked Tom Cruise if he had any favorite scene in the film.
Tom smiled and said, ‘Every day on set with Alejandro and the crew – it was a very strange character. We are looking at the monologue that I did, it was a 10-minute monologue in one shot. It was all in just one take. Avneet said that she was shocked and surprised after watching the scene, and she felt that the actor must have really connected with the character, which is why he was able to bring out that part in the film.

Tom Cruise further said that playing action scenes was like a special rhythm and dance for him. He said that an actor has to understand what to do on which beat. He described director Alejandro’s staging as perfect. According to Tom, he did this scene a few times and ultimately the entire scene was shot in one take. He also told that special attention was paid to voice, comedy timing and body language to show the changes in the character and take the story forward. Despite the heavy costume, she found this scene quite fun.
