Two daughters shone in India's golden campaign, Kumkum Mohod created history and Pranavi Urs increased the pride by winning gold.

She has become the first Indian archer to win an individual gold in this event at the Asian Games. In the final, she faced Oh Yejin of South Korea. The match was very exciting and the result came through a shoot-off in which Kumkum won. Earlier, she had made it to the final by defeating China's Zhu Jingyi 6-2 in the semi-finals. Kumkum also showed her talent by defeating world and Olympic champion Kang Chae-young of South Korea. With his achievement, another gold medal was added to the brilliant campaign of the Indian archery team.

Historic success was also recorded for India in golf. Pranavi Sharath Urs created new history by winning the gold medal in the women's individual event. She has become the first Indian woman golfer to win individual gold in the Asian Games. Before the final round, Pranavi had a three-shot lead with a score of 15 under 195. With his achievement, Indian golf got a big recognition at the international level. Indian players also performed strongly in the women's team event.
