Love for PUBG, court marriage and fake identity; Bangladeshi arrested in Lucknow

The friendship that started while playing PUBG game in Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh turned into love. According to the police, 28-year-old Mohammad Sajjad Hussain, a resident of Chittagong, Bangladesh, came to Lucknow in the year 2023 on a tourist visa. Here he already knew a woman, with whom he used to talk while playing PUBG since the year 2018. Their friendship gradually turned into closeness and Sajjad had a court marriage with the woman. It is alleged that he was living in Lucknow even after the expiry of the visa period. Not only this, he also created Indian identity through fake documents. Police have also arrested public service center operator Mohammad Talha, who helped Sajjad in preparing fake documents.

 

According to the police, Sajjad met a woman from Lucknow while playing the PUBG game in 2018. Both of them often played games together. As the conversation increased during the game, both of them started staying in touch through WhatsApp calls and chats. Gradually the closeness between the two increased. Sajjad came to India to meet the woman and later both of them got married in court. After this he started living with the woman in Bhadeva area of ​​Lucknow.

Came to Lucknow on tourist visa

During interrogation, Sajjad told the police that he was a resident of Hathazaral Rahimpur, Chittagong, Bangladesh. His father Abdul Qadir does business in Saudi Arabia and Sajjad also helped him in his business. According to the police, in the year 2023 he came to Lucknow from Saudi Arabia on a tourist visa. It is alleged that he was staying here even after the visa period was over.

Indian identity created with fake documents

To stay in India and open a bank account, Sajjad contacted public service center operator Mohammad Talha, resident of Bhadeva. It is alleged that Talha prepared fake birth certificate and residence certificate. Sajjad's Aadhar card was made on the basis of these documents. After this, PAN card and Voter ID were also prepared through Aadhaar. Using these documents, he also obtained a bank account and mobile SIM.

Documents prepared with Rs 15 thousand

According to the police, Sajjad had given around Rs 15,000 in different installments to Talha for getting the fake documents prepared. Police allege that Talha helped them in preparing these documents. Police have recovered two Bangladeshi passports, fake Aadhaar card, PAN card and voter ID, apart from two mobile phones and other documents from Sajjad.

Arrest made after intelligence information

According to Sudhir Awasthi, in-charge of police station Bazarkhala, the police had received intelligence that a Bangladeshi youth was living with a woman in Naseerullah Apartment in Bhadeva. After the information, the police started investigation and examined the documents. After investigation, the police arrested Sajjad Hussain. Public service center operator Mohammad Talha has also been arrested on charges of preparing fake documents. A case has been registered against both of them under various sections. According to the police, the intelligence agency has also interrogated both of them in the case.
