Political turmoil has once again intensified in Bahujan Samaj Party regarding Akash Anand. After being completely freed from the party, Akash Anand has written an emotional letter to BSP supremo Mayawati apologizing and expressed his desire to work under her leadership again. Calling Mayawati as his 'aunt mother', political guru and inspiration, Akash has also rejected speculations of joining any other party.
Now the biggest question is whether Mayawati will change her decision after this emotional appeal of Akash? On the occasion of Kanshi Ram's death anniversary on October 9, there is intense discussion within and outside the party regarding Akash's return. The most important part of Akash Anand's letter is his request to play an active role in BSP again.
Apologizing to Mayawati, he said that he wants to work for the party and Bahujan Mission under her leadership. Akash has assured that if he gets a chance again, he will try to regain Mayawati's trust through his work and conduct. He made it clear that for him BSP is not just a political party but a family.
Rejected speculations of joining another party
Akash has also rejected those discussions in which there was talk of him joining some other political party. He says that neither is he going to any other party today nor will he do so in future. Describing Mayawati as his political guru, he has expressed his desire to work with her for the Bahujan Mission. This is the reason why his letter is being seen not only as a clarification but also as a political appeal to become active in BSP again.
Clarification in Ashok Siddharth's case also
In his letter, Akash has also clarified his stand regarding Mayawati's action against his father-in-law and senior BSP leader Ashok Siddharth. Supporting Mayawati's decision, he said that the interest of the party and Bahujan Mission is above personal relationships. Actually, during Mayawati's action against Ashok Siddharth, Akash did not repost Mayawati's social media post. Akash says that he was away from social media at that time. If Mayawati was hurt by his silence, he has apologized for it.

Akash's political role changed many times
There have been many ups and downs in the political relationship between Mayawati and Akash Anand. In the year 2024, Mayawati had removed Akash from the post of national coordinator and her political successor, saying that he needed to become more politically mature. Later he was given responsibility again. Even in March 2025, Akash was removed from party responsibilities and later returned.
In May 2025, he was again given bigger organizational responsibility. On September 3 this year, Mayawati removed Akash from the responsibility of national convenor and on September 10 announced his complete release from the party. During that time, Mayawati had raised questions about Akash's political maturity and party interests.
Why are eyes fixed on October 9?
9 October is the death anniversary of Kanshi Ram. This date is considered very important for BSP. In such a situation, after Akash's emotional letter, the question is arising whether Mayawati can take any big decision on the death anniversary of Kanshi Ram. Till now there has been no official announcement from Mayawati regarding the return of Akash Anand. Therefore, the talk of return on October 9 is currently limited to political possibility and speculation.
Suspense increased after Ishaan Anand got the responsibility
Amidst the discussion of Akash's comeback, the role of his younger brother Ishaan Anand has also become important. In September, Mayawati made Ishaan Anand the national coordinator of BSP. Earlier this responsibility was with Akash Anand. After getting the responsibility, Ishaan expressed his gratitude to Mayawati and talked about carrying forward the mission of Kanshi Ram and Dr. Ambedkar. This also started a discussion in BSP regarding the organizational equation related to the family. If Akash returns, the biggest question will be what kind of responsibility will be given to Ishaan and Akash in the organization.

Will Aunt Maa give Akash another chance?
On one hand, Akash Anand has publicly apologized to Mayawati and asked for a chance to work again. On the other hand, Mayawati has already removed him from big responsibilities and given him responsibility again. Recently, the equation has become more interesting with Ishan Anand getting an important organizational role. At present, Akash has made his stand clear that he does not want to join any other party and wants to work for BSP and Bahujan Mission under the leadership of Mayawati. Now Mayawati has to take the decision. There is no official confirmation yet on whether Akash will return on Kanshiram's death anniversary on October 9 or not, but his emotional letter has definitely created a new stir in BSP politics.
