Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma, under Operation Shuddhi, in the course of the campaign being run against the criminals involved in drug trafficking and illegal business, under the efficient supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (AAP) Rishabh Runwal and Area Officer Ghorawal Rajesh Kumar Rai and under the leadership of Inspector-in-Charge Karma Kamlesh Pal, on 04.10.2026, on the information of the informer, the Police Station Karma team from Karki Bazaar. An accused was arrested with 01 kg 200 grams of illegal ganja near the pond on the road leading to Kuchmarwa.
On the basis of the said recovery, a case was registered at Police Station Karma under FIR No. 194/2026, Section 8/20 NDPS Act, against the accused Babunandan Yadav, son of Shyamlal Yadav, resident of village Kasya Kala, Police Station Robertsganj, District Sonbhadra, age about 21 years. After completing the necessary legal proceedings, he was sent to the court in judicial custody.
The arresting police team included SHO Suresh Singh Yadav, Police Station Karma, District Sonbhadra, Sandeep Singh, SHO Mangal Prajapati.
