Controversy during demonstration in Shivaji Park
Digital, exposed. Actor Piyush Mishra has raised many questions on Naseeruddin Shah after his presence at the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest in Mumbai's Shivaji Park. Piyush shared a video on social media, in which he urged Shah to express his opinion on various issues. The protest was organized to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, in which many famous faces, such as Vishal Dadlani, also participated.
'Speak on Smit Machar also'
In the video, Piyush Mishra referred to flydubai flight 1073, calling Naseeruddin Shah his old friend. He praised the bravery of Captain Smit Machar and said that he should also give his opinion on this incident. According to reports, the number of passengers rescued in this incident was between 174 to 180.
After this, Piyush mentioned the lathi charge by the police on students at Lovely Professional University. He raised questions as to why Naseeruddin Shah, who had earlier expressed his views on student movements, was silent on the matter. He sarcastically said that Shah had said that he had learned more from these students than he had learned from the National School of Drama (NSD) and FTII.
'No poetry in Jharkhand, help was needed'
Piyush also mentioned the student movement of Jharkhand. He said that when he contacted Naseeruddin Shah to help the students there, he was sent a poem by a Pakistani poet. Piyush said that the people there did not need poetry but needed flour, pulses and food items.
At the end of the video, Piyush clarified that now whenever Naseeruddin Shah makes any public statement, he will respond to it. There have been disputes between the two actors in the past over student movements and social issues.
