The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday fined India and West Indies for slow over-rate during the third ODI in New Chandigarh. While India were fined 20 per cent of their match fee, West Indies were fined 10 per cent, with both teams found four and two overs short of the stipulated over rate respectively.
Match referee Prakash Bhatt imposed this penalty after the match on Saturday. The ICC said both captains had pleaded guilty and accepted the proposed penalties, so there was no need for a formal hearing.
