Kathmandu. The parliamentary hearing process of 13 individuals recommended by the government of Nepal as ambassadors to various countries will begin on Tuesday.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the complaints filed against the proposed ambassadors will be distributed among the committee members at the Parliamentary Hearing Committee meeting to be held at 11:15 am.
Along with this, the action plans presented by the nominated ambassadors will also be made available to the members. A total of seven complaints have been filed against the 13 proposed ambassadors.
Of these, two complaints are against all 13 nominees, while five complaints have been filed against individual nominees.
The government had recommended the appointment of 13 ambassadors in the Council of Ministers meeting held on September 18. After this the Parliamentary Hearing Committee started the process of his hearing.
The government has recommended the appointment of Dr. Nischal Nath Pandey as ambassador for India, Dr. Kalyan Raj Sharma for China, Chiran Jung Thapa for America and former Army Chief Gaurav Shamsher Jung Bahadur Rana for Britain.
Similarly, Jigyan Kumar Thapa for Japan, Suresh Kumar Karan for Israel, Prapti Sherchan for Spain, Sharu Joshi for Germany, Dr. Padmakshi Rana for Oman, Chudamani Kharel for Malaysia, Prof. for South Korea. Dr. Sangam Shrestha, Dr. Manchala Jha for Sri Lanka and Giri Bahadur Sunar have been recommended for Saudi Arabia.
Under Article 292 of the Constitution of Nepal, the Parliamentary Hearing Committee is responsible for conducting parliamentary hearings of persons recommended for appointment to the post of Ambassador.
