Saurabh Bhardwaj's claim regarding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar, said – will leave the post before October 10

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi state president and former minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has made a big claim about Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. According to Bhardwaj, one of his sources has told him that Gyanesh Kumar can resign from his post before October 10. Saurabh Bhardwaj has made this claim at a time when a protest has been announced against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at Jantar Mantar on October 10. This demonstration is proposed by Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).

CJP claims, people from across the country will gather against CEC

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which had been protesting at Jantar Mantar for almost a month against the NEET paper leak in June-July, has now opened a front against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. CJP calls itself a 'Gen G' organization. After the demonstration in Mumbai's Shivaji Park on October 2, the organization has now announced an agitation at Jantar Mantar on October 10. CJP claims that people from all over the country will gather in this demonstration and under the pressure of the movement, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will have to resign from his post.

Claim of resignation before Jantar Mantar 2.0

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is supporting CJP's movement, has now claimed the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Former Delhi Health Minister and AAP state president Saurabh Bhardwaj on Monday quoted a source on social media as saying that Gyanesh Kumar may resign from his post before October 10. Bhardwaj wrote in his post, “My source said that Gyanesh Kumar may resign before October 10.” He did not share any other information apart from this claim.

CJP leaders fear arrest

On one hand, Saurabh Bhardwaj, quoting his source, has claimed the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, while on the other hand, CJP leaders have expressed the fear of arrest before the October 10 movement. CJP co-convenor Saurabh Das has claimed that he has received information from sources that he, Abhijeet Deepke, Ashutosh Ranka and other prominent leaders of the organization may be arrested before October 10. At the same time, Ashutosh Ranka said on Monday that he has been told from sources that action can be taken against CJP leaders under the National Security Act (NSA) or any similar provision. On the other hand, Abhijeet Deepke said that he is ready to face any kind of action.

CJP's front against Gyanesh Kumar amid controversy over SIR

In fact, in many states including Bihar and West Bengal, questions have been continuously raised by the opposition parties regarding Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The opposition has been alleging that names are being wrongly removed and added to the voter list. Meanwhile, a report in the Indian Express claimed that on 14 occasions in the last 10 months, the opinion of two other election commissioners differed from that of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. CJP linked these differences revealed in the report to the functioning of Gyanesh Kumar and opened a front against him. CJP says that the election process can proceed in a fair manner only after the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner and ban on SIR.
