Yogi government's big gift to Shikshamitras, honorarium increased, more than ₹ 460 crore released

UP Education: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has provided financial support to Shikshamitras by significantly increasing the honorarium under overall education. An amount of ₹ 460.23 crore has been released for the honorarium of 1,27,841 Shikshamitras working in the academic session 2026-27 for the months of September and October at the increased rate of honorarium from ₹ 10 thousand to ₹ 18 thousand per month. District wise funds have been earmarked for payment of honorarium for both the months.

An amount of ₹ 230.11 crore has been earmarked for honorarium for September and ₹ 230.11 crore for October also. Thus, a total provision of ₹ 460.23 crore has been made for both the months. Instructions have been given to the concerned districts to ensure the payment process as per the prescribed allocation.

District wise allocation of honorarium was done

About 1.28 lakh Shikshamitras of the state will get direct benefits from this. District-wise allocation of honorarium for September and October has been made for 1,27,841 Shikshamitras working under Samagra Shiksha in the academic session 2026-27. Through this, the process of honorarium payment at the increased rate will be taken forward.

80 percent increase in honorarium

Yogi government has increased the honorarium of Shikshamitras under Samagra Shiksha by ₹ 8 thousand per month. Due to this, the honorarium has increased from ₹ 10 thousand to ₹ 18 thousand per month, that is, it has increased by 80 percent. Shikshamitras will get additional financial support by getting honorarium at increased rate.
