Hindi Movies Releasing This Week: The release of Hindi films is going to be slightly less in the second week of October. This time only two new Hindi films will hit theaters and OTT. One of these stories is related to fear and mystery, while in the other, the attempt to bring out the truth takes the story forward. That means, if you are planning to watch something new this week, then these two films can be a special option for you. The special thing is that both will be released on October 9, but one will be released on the big screen and the other will be streamed on OTT.
Fear and mystery will be seen in ‘Bokshi’
The first film is ‘Bokshi’, which is a combination of folk horror and thriller. The story of the film revolves around Anahita, a girl who reaches the remote forests of Sikkim. During a school trip he encounters mysterious events that change his life completely. As the story progresses, Anahita comes face to face with old magic and a sinister secret. Along with fear, the folk tale angle will also be seen in the film, which makes it a little different from common horror films. ‘Bokshi’ stars Prasanna Bisht, Mansi Multani, Daagi Angomadir and Siddharth Shaw in important roles. It is directed by Bhargav Saikia. The film will be released in theaters on October 9.
Searching for truth in ‘reporting live’
The second release is Parineeti Chopra’s ‘Reporting Live’, which will be on Netflix. It is an investigative thriller, in which Parineeti plays the role of an aspiring reporter. The search for a news leads him, along with his cameraman partner, to a situation from which it is not easy to return. The two begin investigating a large illegal sand mining network. As the investigation progresses, they discover that the people against whom they are gathering evidence are extremely powerful and may try to silence them. After this, the danger and tension in the story continuously increases.
Along with Parineeti Chopra, Devan Bhojani, Amol Palekar, Adil Hussain and Shekhar Suman will also be seen in the film. It is directed by Dhruv Tripathi. ‘Reporting Live’ will be released on Netflix on October 9.
What is special in both the films?
Even though the stories of both the films are different, there is a connection of mystery and suspense in both. While ‘Bokshi’ takes the story forward through jungle, folklore and fear, ‘Reporting Live’ explores the truth behind journalism and a big illegal business. That means this week you have two completely different types of stories to watch. If you want to enjoy fear and mystery in the theatre, then you can watch ‘Bokshi’, while if you want to watch a serious investigative story sitting at home, then ‘Reporting Live’ can be a good option.
