Engine and Performance

The same engine from Honda CB300F platform has been used in both these motorcycles. It has a 293.5cc air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine generates maximum power of 24.3 hp and peak torque of 26.5 Nm. This setup gives excellent performance for highway cruising as well as on bad roads.

In terms of hardware, both the bikes come with telescopic front forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. To strengthen off-road grip, the company has given a combination of 21-inch front and 18-inch wire-spoke wheels at the rear in both the models.

Features: XR300L vs XR300 Rally

Although the mechanical base of both the motorcycles is the same, the XR300 Rally has some special features added for touring and off-roading. The Rally variant gets a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, knuckle guards, rally-inspired bodywork, larger fuel tank, tall windscreen and premium quality switchgear, which makes it different from the standard model.
