Digital Desk, Bhopal. Other employees, including outsourced data entry operators, in state government offices will also have to be paid overtime (work beyond the scheduled time). Its initiative has started in the Directorate of Public Prosecution working under the State Home Department. The Directorate has sent instructions to all its district offices saying that overtime hours should also be recorded in the attendance sheets of the data entry operators hired by Sedmap to work on the e-prosecution portal outsourced.
This attendance sheet prepared every month will be sent to Sedmap which will pay the remuneration of the outsourced personnel. It will be mandatory to send this attendance sheet from 1st to 5th of every month. These outsourced workers will also be given 12 days of casual leave in a year, from which no salary will be deducted. It is noteworthy that SEDMAP (Center for Entrepreneurship Development Madhya Pradesh) is an autonomous and non-profit organization, which is not completely private but is run under the patronage and administrative control of MSME Department of Madhya Pradesh Government.
The work of arranging outsourced and contract employees and data management in various government departments of the state is also done by it. It is legally binding for outsourcing agencies to provide all statutory benefits to the employees deployed by them, including minimum wages, PF, ESI and overtime.
