Tezzbuzz Desk– Everyone is shocked by the news of the sudden demise of Bollywood actor Nana Patekar. After his health suddenly deteriorated late at night at his home in Goa, he was taken to Manipal Hospital, where doctors declared him dead at 5:30 am. Dr. Shekhar Salkar, head of the oncology department of the hospital, said that at around 2:30 in the night, Nana had messaged a friend informing him about his ill health. Since it was night, the friend did not notice the message immediately. After getting the information, he reached his maternal grandfather's house at around 4 in the morning.
Nana Patekar's condition was very serious when he reached home. He was drenched in heavy sweat and was gradually losing consciousness. The friend and caretaker tried to handle him and immediately called an ambulance. When the emergency response team of Manipal Hospital reached the spot, Nana was completely unconscious and was not responding. Doctors started cardiac massage in the ambulance itself.
Between 4:20 and 4:30 in the morning, Nana was brought to the emergency of the hospital. A special team of doctors gave CPR and cardiac massage for about 45 minutes to an hour to save him, but there was no response. According to doctors, he was brought dead to the hospital. After this, he was officially declared dead at 5:30 in the morning.
The hospital registered the case as a medico-legal case i.e. MLC and informed the local police. According to Dr Salkar, when a person is brought to the hospital dead and his immediate family members are not present, it is necessary to register a police case as per the legal procedure. At that time only his friends and caretaker were present with Nana.
As per the legal procedure, the body has been sent to Goa Medical College. Official information about the exact cause of death will be revealed only after post-mortem and forensic investigation.
