After the sudden demise of veteran actor Nana Patekar, his last public speech is being discussed in a special way. On October 4, just four days before his demise, Nana Patekar had attended the foundation ceremony of Samrat Club International held in Dona Paula, Goa. At this time, his speech on life, man's purpose and mortality is now becoming emotional for the fans.
Nana Patekar had mentioned the uncertainty of life in his speech. He had said, “We all have to go someday. I don't know if I'll be here tomorrow or not.” This moment will come in everyone's life one day, but before that day comes, we should think about whether we have the ability and preparation to do what we want to do or not.
Nana Patekar also stressed the need to do something for the society and not just limit ourselves to family and personal life. “If my world is limited only to my children, wife and home, then what is the purpose of my life? I should give something back to this world,” he thought.
In this program Nana Patekar also remembered his deceased friend and former Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar. Referring to Parrikar's work, he commented on the purpose of life and the importance of contributing to society.

However, he clarified that at least decorum and proper etiquette should be followed while expressing one's opinion. Nana Patekar had said, “If I don't like something, I must speak about it. But there is a way to speak. At least there should be decorum while speaking in public.”
