Friend became murderer for 10 thousand rupees of wages, murder was solved by strangulation with a pot, body thrown on canal bank, two arrested

​For just Rs 10,000 as labor in Triveniganj and a small mobile phone, his friends killed his trust. It is known that the police has exposed the murder of Sulchan Mukhiya, who was missing from Chhatapur police station area since October 5. According to the police, the accused first called Sulchan Mukhiya on the pretext of a party and then brutally murdered him by strangulating him with a towel. With the intention of hiding the evidence, the body was thrown near Ranipatti canal. The police took immediate action in this case and arrested the two main named accused.

Sub-divisional police officer Dilip Kumar gave information about the entire incident in the press conference on Thursday. SDPO Dilip Kumar said that Sulchan Mukhiya had gone to party with the accused after taking around Rs 10,000 as wages. During the party itself, there was an argument among themselves regarding the transaction of money. The dispute escalated so much that the accused strangulated Sulchan with a pot. After the murder, the accused looted Rs 10,000 in cash and his mobile phone from the pocket of the deceased, dragged the body and threw it near Ranipatti canal and fled away. The body was recovered from the canal bank on 6 October.

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Supaul Superintendent of Police Sharath RS himself inspected the spot and formed a SIT for the quick arrest of the accused. SIT collected scientific and technical evidence from the spot with the help of FSL team, Swan Squad and District Technical Branch. Based on surveillance and human information, the police caught two accused within just 48 hours.

Two accused of Chhatapur arrested, case against unknown including four named. SDPO said that the arrested accused have been identified as Akash Kumar (father- Mohan Mukhiya), resident of Chhatapur Ward No. 11 and Vikas Kumar (father- Dhirendra Ram), resident of Ward No. 14. On the application of the deceased's wife, case number 301/26 has been registered in Chhatapur police station. The case has been registered against four named and 4-5 unidentified people.

​SDPO said that interrogation of the arrested accused is going on. The role of other associates involved in the incident is being investigated. Police are continuously raiding possible locations to recover Rs 10,000 snatched from the deceased, mobile phone and items used in the murder.
The raid team included SDPO Dilip Kumar, Chhatapur police station incharge Pramod Jha, SI Bhaskar Bharti, SI Prayag Sah, constables of the district technical branch and armed forces personnel of Chhatapur police station.
