Note that this auto-reply feature is not available in the regular WhatsApp (Personal WhatsApp) app. for this WhatsApp Business One has to use the app, which is available absolutely free on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. If you want to convert your existing number into a business app, then make sure to take a backup of your old chats before starting the process.
How to setup in Android and iPhone
For Android users:

Open the WhatsApp Business app and setup your basic profile.

The process for setting your message, timing, and audience:

Turn on the Send Away Message toggle: First of all turn on the given switch.

Draft message: Write a clear and short message. Example: “Hello! Thanks for reaching out. I’m busy right now, will talk to you after 6pm.”

Set a Schedule: You can choose to have messages always sent, at a specific time/date, or only delivered outside of your business hours.

Select Recipients: You can set who should receive this message—to everyone, only to new numbers not saved in your phone book, or to select people.

Press Save: Finally after completing all the settings save Don’t forget to press the button.
What is the difference between Greeting Message and Away Message?
The purpose of both messages is different:

Greeting Message: This welcome message is automatically sent when a new person (or a contact who hasn’t messaged in 14 days) contacts you for the first time.

Away Message: This message is sent when you are unavailable or outside your scheduled working hours. If users want, they can keep both these features running simultaneously.
