However, even after getting approval from the cabinet, the name of the airport will not change immediately. The Uttar Pradesh government will send this proposal to the central government for final approval. The process of name change will be able to proceed only after getting the approval of the Centre.

In the special cabinet meeting of the Yogi government, the proposal to name the Noida International Airport at Jewar after Prime Minister Narendra Modi was approved. According to the proposal, the new name of the airport will be 'Narendra Modi International Airport Noida'.
