Jumbo block between Mahim-Mumbai Central on Western Railway on the night of 10/11 October!

There is important news for Mumbai suburban rail passengers. Night Jumbo Block will be taken by Western Railway between Mahim and Mumbai Central stations on midnight of 10/11 October 2026. This block is being operated for essential works related to maintenance of track, signaling system and overhead equipment.

According to the press release issued by Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, there will be jumbo block between Mahim and Mumbai Central from 12:25 am to 4:25 am, i.e. for about four hours.

The operation of trains on the fast line will be affected during the block. During this period, all fast line trains will be diverted to slow lines between Andheri/Santacruz and Churchgate stations. This may impact the operation and journey times of some night-time suburban services.

Western Railways says that this block is being taken for important works related to maintenance and security of railway infrastructure. Such works help in maintaining good condition of track, signaling and overhead equipment.

Railways has appealed to the passengers traveling during the midnight of 10th and 11th October to plan their journey keeping this operational arrangement in mind. Passengers, especially those traveling late at night or early in the morning, have been advised to check train platforms and possible delay information in advance.

Western Railway has appealed for cooperation from passengers and said that maintenance work is necessary for safe and smooth railway operations.
