Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed gratitude to the people on the performance of BJP and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the by-elections of Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry. Referring to the results of Nagaon Lok Sabha seat of Assam and Nandigram and Rejinagar assembly seats of West Bengal, he said that this public support shows the confidence of the people in the good governance agenda of the alliance.
Expressed happiness over BJP's victory in Nandigram and Rejinagar
In the by-elections of West Bengal, BJP won Nandigram and Rejinagar seats. The Prime Minister described these results as encouraging for the party and congratulated the BJP candidates. He also praised the hard work of the workers. After these results, BJP has given the message of strengthening its political position in West Bengal. Especially the victory on Rejinagar seat is being considered important for the party.
Congratulations to NR Congress in Puducherry
Prime Minister Modi also congratulated National Democratic Alliance ally All India NR Congress for winning the Thattanchavady Assembly seat in Puducherry. He said that this mandate will give additional strength to continuously work for the welfare of the people and fulfill the aspirations of the people for a bright and prosperous future.
Devashish Sharma's lead in Nagaon
In the by-election on Assam's Nagaon Lok Sabha seat, BJP candidate Devashish Sharma got a lead of 1 lakh 76 thousand 391 votes over his nearest rival and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal. According to the original report, counting of votes was going on till the time of writing. At the same time, the ruling All India NR Congress won the by-election on Thattanchavadi seat of Puducherry on October 6. On these election results, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the people who voted in support of the alliance.
