Indian bowlers badly beaten

Mayank Yadav had spoiled the condition of West Indies by taking 2 wickets in the very first over. After getting Kamil Puran caught by Ravi Bishnoi (substitute fielder) on the third ball, he dismissed Shimron Hetmyer on the next ball. Hetmar was late on the ball traveling at a speed of 144 kilometers per hour, which took the inside edge of his bat and entered the wickets. Shai Hope and Rovman Powell saved West Indies from these setbacks by making a partnership of 53 runs in 27 balls for the third wicket, but Mayank clean bowled Powell (24) on the first ball of the last over of the powerplay, sending the Caribbean team on the backfoot again.

The Indian team now seemed to have the match in its grasp but Hope and Rutherford turned the tables by making a partnership of 120 runs in 9 overs for the fourth wicket. Kuldeep Yadav tried to make India's comeback by taking the wicket of Rutherford at the crucial time but Hope along with Shepherd did not give any chance. Mayank took 3 wickets for 33 runs in 3 overs. Kuldeep took one wicket while spending 53 runs in 4 overs. Akshar Patel gave away 63 runs in 3.3 overs. He remained empty handed. The condition of beating Indian bowlers was such that no one's economy was less than 11.
