Yogi Cabinet Meeting Major Decisions: The cabinet meeting was held on Friday under the chairmanship of CM Yogi Adityanath at Lok Bhawan, Lucknow. In which many big decisions were taken for the overall development and public welfare of the state along with changing the name of Noida International Airport (Jewar). Important decisions of Yogi cabinet meeting
1- 1,725 AC electric buses will run in 18 cities: In the cabinet meeting, an important decision was taken to strengthen the urban transport system of the state. Under this, 1,725 air-conditioned electric buses will be operated on Gross Cost Contract (GCC) model in 18 cities of Uttar Pradesh. Under the scheme, buses will be operated in Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Firozabad, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mathura-Vrindavan, Meerut, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Shahjahanpur, Saharanpur, Varanasi and Noida (including Jewar). These will include air-conditioned electric buses of 9 meter and 12 meter length. Under the project, it has been decided to provide a grant of Rs 40 lakh for each 12 meter long electric bus and Rs 35 lakh for each 9 meter long bus.
2- Expansion of Naval Valor Museum of Lucknow: Naval Valor Museum will be expanded in Lucknow. A proposal to provide about 6.8 acres of land to the Tourism Department for developing the water body under the third phase of the museum was approved. It was also decided to hand over the responsibility of operation and maintenance of the museum complex to LDA. To develop the water body, LDA will provide the concerned 6.8 acres of land to the Tourism Department at a token money of Rs 1 lakh. Under the project, replicas of naval ships, boating, light and sound shows along with exhibitions related to aquatic life and marine biodiversity will be developed.
3- Beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will get two free cylinders: In the cabinet meeting, the proposal to provide two free LPG cylinder refills to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in the financial year 2026-27 has been approved. In the current financial year 2026-27 also, two free LPG cylinder refills will be given to the beneficiaries associated with the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Free refills will be provided in the first phase from October to December 2026 and in the second phase from January to March 2027. This will entail an estimated total expenditure of Rs 2,142.78 crore on the state government.

4- Anganwadi workers and assistants will get 1 additional saree: Anganwadi workers and assistants working in the state will now be provided one additional saree for better execution of departmental work and to work in prescribed attire at the workplace. A total of 3,80,290 Anganwadi workers and assistants of the state will benefit from this decision. The state government will spend about Rs 19.02 crore on this. Under the present system, two sarees are provided every year in the general scheme in the ratio of 60:40 between the Center and the State. Now in addition to this one more saree will be given.
5- Building map approval will be easy: The cabinet meeting has approved the implementation of 'Model Building Regulations, 2026 for Industrial Development Authorities of Uttar Pradesh'. Due to which the process of building map and plot approval in the areas of Industrial Development Authorities will now become more simple, transparent and citizen friendly.
6- Maize, millet and jowar will be procured till 31st December: The procurement of 'Shrianna' (coarse grains) under the Kharif marketing year 2026-27 will continue till December 31. According to Food and Logistics Minister Manoj Kumar Pandey, the minimum support price of jowar (Maldandi) included in 'coarse grains' has been fixed at Rs 4073, jowar (hybrid) at Rs 4023, millet at Rs 2900 and maize at Rs 2410 per quintal. CM Yogi has directed to make payment to the farmers within 48 hours. Payment will be made directly into the Aadhaar linked bank account of farmers.
