He shared an emotional post paying tribute to Nana, in which he mentioned the call that Nana had made before his demise.
Said the call came a week ago
Hema told that Nana had recently spoken to her and had tried to contact her again sometime before his death. He said, 'He spoke to me on the phone a few days ago. I think about a week ago also I got a call. But for some reason I couldn't pick it up because I was travelling. When I heard this today, I was deeply shocked.
The industry lost a big actor
Hema said that the film industry has suffered a big loss due to Nana's demise. He said, 'Our industry (Hindi and Marathi) has lost a very big actor. He himself was an institution for acting.
Nana Patekar's contribution
Today we have lost an icon of the film industry. Nana Patekar, who made a mark with his unique acting talent and is considered an absolute icon of acting, is no more with us. He always remained dedicated to the upliftment of farmers and the downtrodden.
He has contributed to many great films in Hindi and Marathi, showcasing his great talent in diverse roles. I loved watching his films and appreciated his unique approach. He also said that I was his favorite actress in classic cinema.
