Shimla. Large-scale recruitments and new appointments in various departments were approved in the Himachal Pradesh cabinet meeting held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. The Cabinet approved the appointment of 4090 para employees in Jal Shakti Department. These include para pump operators, para fitters and multipurpose workers. It was decided in the meeting to affiliate 100 more schools with CBSE. A new plan will be prepared for this. Under the new scheme based recruitment, posts of 3,900 teachers and 900 non-teaching staff will be filled in these schools.
Apart from this, approval was also given to conduct Limited Direct Recruitment (LDR) examination for the vacant SMC teachers (including PGT and TGT). The Cabinet decided to fill the posts of computer teachers from among the teachers working on outsourced basis in government schools through LDR. Besides, approval was also given to fill 500 posts of Assistant Staff Nurse in the Health Department.
It was decided to fill 320 Assistant Professor (College Cadre) posts under backlog quota in the Education Department. 172 multi-task workers will be appointed in the Public Works Department (PWD). Approval was given to fill the posts of 30 Radiologists, 13 Clinical Psychologists and 6 Perfusionists in the Medical Education Department. Approval was also given to fill 11 Multi Task Worker posts along with 27 posts of different categories under 4 percent reservation for persons with disabilities.
The Cabinet decided to fill 24 Medical Officer (Specialist/Super Specialist) posts in Dr. RPGMC Tanda. Apart from this, approval was given to fill 116 various posts in Animal Husbandry Department, 40 Horticulture Extension Officer and 5 Senior Assistant posts in Horticulture Department.
It was decided to create and fill 26 new posts of different categories for Durgasharanya Kangra International Zoological Park. Approval was also given to the appointment of 10 radiographers in Model Health Institutions of the Health Department and 18 Assistant Treasury Officers in the Treasury, Accounts and Lottery Department. These decisions of the Cabinet will help in strengthening education, health and other important departments along with increasing new employment opportunities in the state.
