Consignment of drugs in trolley bag, Khaki action on ISBT! Teenager caught with 21.360 kg ganja

New Delhi:The suspicious activities of a teenager who arrived at Delhi's Maharana Pratap Interstate Bus Stand with two trolley bags caught the attention of the police and a huge consignment of drugs was revealed during the search. Three packets of ganja hidden in red and parrot colored trolley bags were recovered, the total weight of which was 21.360 kg. According to the police, this quantity of ganja falls in the commercial category. A teenager of about 17 and a half years has been detained in the case. Now the police investigation is focused on reaching those alleged suppliers and the unknown person who took the consignment in Delhi. North District DCP Niharika Bhatt said that on the basis of secret information at around 8:40 pm, ISBT located at Kashmiri Gate was being monitored. Meanwhile, the policeman saw a suspicious person carrying two trolley bags. Frightened by the presence of the police, he tried to run away but was caught by the alert team. During the search, three packets of ganja were recovered from both the bags.

According to the police, two packets of ganja weighing 7.140 kg and 7.190 kg were recovered from a red colored trolley bag, while a packet of ganja weighing 7.030 kg was recovered from a parrot colored bag. In this way a total of 21.360 kg of ganja was seized. In this matter, investigation has been started by registering FIR number 457/2026 in Kashmiri Gate police station under Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

During interrogation, Kishore reportedly told that he had left for Delhi on October 7 by train number 04071 from Supaul in Bihar. According to him, the ticket for the journey was booked by his cousin Surendra Kumar. Two suspicious persons were also traveling in the same train. According to Kishore's alleged statement, upon reaching Ghaziabad, the two men handed him two trolley bags filled with ganja and gave him Rs 3500 in exchange for taking them to Delhi. He was reportedly asked to approach one of the men by reaching under the Karnal Market bridge. There it was reported that the consignment was handed over to an unknown person. According to the police, after reaching Delhi, the teenager reached Kashmiri Gate ISBT by rickshaw where the police caught him with a consignment of ganja. At present, his statements are being verified and the role of other people in this entire matter is being investigated.

In this action taken on secret information, a special police team was formed under the instructions of Assistant Police Commissioner Kotwali Shankar Banerjee and under the supervision of Kashmiri Gate police station in-charge Inspector Prashant Yadav. The team carried out the action under the leadership of sub-inspector Mukesh Tomar, in-charge of police post ISBT. The team included Sub Inspector Iftikhar, Head Constable Gopal Singh, Head Constable Vivek and Constable Gulbir. According to a police release, during surveillance, Head Constable Gopal Singh saw the suspect with both the trolley bags, following which the team took immediate action.

The police investigation is now focused on identifying the two suspects who allegedly handed over the ganja consignment in Ghaziabad and tracking down the unidentified person who received the consignment in Delhi. For this, mobile call records, technical monitoring, details related to rail travel and other clues are being investigated. The police is trying to trace the entire chain from the source of ganja to its further supply. According to the police, the arrested teenager is a resident of Supaul district of Bihar and has studied till class 12th. His family background is said to be related to agriculture. His alleged contacts and his role in the case are also being investigated.
