Southeast Asia’s 5 best hotels: Vietnam cracks Thai-dominated list

Park Hyatt Saigon scored 99.01, ahead of Rosewood Bangkok at 98.59 and Capella Bangkok at 98.13. The scores represent readers’ average overall satisfaction, expressed as percentages.

The Southeast Asia list includes 15 hotels, with Singapore ranked separately.

Vietnam has one other representative: Capella Hanoi, which is 14th with 90.60 points.

Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok traces its history to 1876, when it opened as The Oriental Hotel. Celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2026, the riverside property describes itself as a sanctuary that has welcomed royalty, writers, and artists to the banks of the Chao Phraya.
