According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation has formed in the Strait of Malacca and surrounding areas. This cyclonic circulation is expected to move towards Andaman. Due to this, there are chances of a low pressure area forming in the south-eastern region of the Bay of Bengal around October 13 and moving towards the land.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain at many places in Bihar and Jharkhand till Monday. Apart from Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, there are chances of rain in many places including Darjeeling, Alipurduar, Nadia, Birbhum and Nadia. During this period, strong storms can also be seen in these areas. The Meteorological Department has said that rain is expected in the northeastern states next week. On October 13, there may be heavy rain at many places in Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura. At the same time, due to the cyclonic circulation near the Gulf of Mannar in South India and the southern region of Tamil Nadu, there are chances of strong winds and rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
