Cause of death of Nana Patekar
The death of famous Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has now become clear according to the post mortem report. At the age of 75, he breathed his last on Thursday morning at his residence in Goa. Initially, the cause of his death was reported to be cardiac arrest, but according to a senior doctor at Goa Medical College and Hospital, the post-mortem report has listed heart attack as the main cause of his death.

According to reports, Nana Patekar suffered a heart attack due to a blood clot in the left main coronary artery. This artery supplies blood to a large part of the heart. The report lists the cause of death as 'acute myocardial infarction' caused by atherosclerotic occlusive coronary artery disease. Doctors have classified it as death due to natural causes.
How did Nana Patekar die?
When Nana Patekar's health deteriorated, his caretaker asked for an ambulance from the hospital. The ambulance reached his apartment, which was about a kilometer from the hospital. After reaching the hospital, doctors gave CPR for 45 minutes to save him, but he could not be saved. Doctors declared him dead at 5:10 am.

After the actor's demise, his son Malhar reached Goa and his mortal remains were taken to Pune. There, the body was cremated at his farmhouse in Donje village, where state honors were accorded. The funeral was attended by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, Lok Sabha MP Sunil Tatkare, and many other celebrities.

Nana Patekar had a career spanning over four decades in Hindi and Marathi cinema. Along with acting, he also contributed in writing and direction. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2013 for his contribution to cinema and arts. He entered Hindi cinema in 1978 with Muzaffar Ali's film 'Gaman'.
