Ceasefire for its own sake? Trump's demand to stop Russia-Ukraine conflict, both countries are silent

Russia and Ukraine have been targeting each other's oil refineries and power plants. But this time the US President Donald Trump claimed that the two countries have agreed to stop the war. He said on social media that the two countries have agreed to a ceasefire over the attack on energy resources. However, neither Kiev nor Moscow said anything about this.

Speaking to reporters outside the White House on Saturday, Trump said he repeatedly forbade Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from attacking oil refineries. Because, due to the attack, the price of diesel in the world market has skyrocketed. America itself is suffering the consequences. Trump has even decided to buy diesel from Russia to deal with the situation. But even in this situation, the President of Ukraine did not pay attention to Trump's words. Ukraine attacked Russian oil refineries until Saturday. Incidentally, Trump became so fed up that he wanted to change the president in Ukraine.

But in the end, Trump claims that the two countries have agreed to a ceasefire. On his own social media platform, Truth Social, he wrote, 'There is an energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. That is, two countries will not attack each other's energy resources. The two countries agreed and the new ceasefire came into effect from this moment.' In a familiar tone, the US president said, 'Don't violate the ceasefire.' Trump said that there was a ceasefire with the consent of the two countries. But in reality Russia and Ukraine are silent on this issue.

It should be noted that US President Trump said last Friday that Russia will supply 300,000 tons of diesel to America and the world market. Another 5 lakh tonnes in November. In return, Trump announced to relax the ban on Russian diesel. Zelensky was outraged by this move. According to him, “the deal is to strengthen Putin's hand. To push the war forward.” Trump passed legislation to impose tariffs on India for the 'crime' of buying Russian oil, while itself buying diesel from Russia.
