New information has emerged surrounding the death of Breaking Bad actor RJ Mitte.

New details have came forward after the death of RJ Mitte in Texas on October 12.

His representative confirmed to People that the 34-year-old died by suicide.

Prior to his tragic passing, he had been candid and open about his mental health struggles and the impact of being diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was only 3.

Speaking on the Australian Broadcast Corporation in 2015, he shared, “Cerebral palsy and mental health go hand in hand because when you have a physical disability you’re twice as likely to be bullied.”

“One thing I’ve learned from my disability is that when there is an obstacle, you adapt and grow. You can’t let that obstacle break you down and discourage you,” he added.

Beyond his acting career, RJ advocated for greater awareness of cerebral palsy, which affects movement and physical coordination.

During his chat on The Joe Vulpis podcast on October 5, he looked back, saying, “With the work I’ve done, with people with disabilities and equal opportunity, employment and advocacy and really just trying to remind people that they have a voice and lend my voice, that’s really the greatest thing that Breaking Bad has given me.”

In the weeks before his death, RJ continued to work on his acting projects. His last public appearance was on September 30, when he attended a screening of Talking to Strangers in Beverly Hills, California. His horror film One Eye Open was also scheduled to premiere on October 16.
