Due to the strong centuries of Team India's explosive batsmen Rinku Singh and Madhav Kaushik, Uttar Pradesh defeated Bihar badly by an innings and 267 runs in the Elite Group-A match of Ranji Trophy 2026-27. After the brilliant performance of Rinku and Madhav, the UP bowlers kept the bats of Bihar batsmen completely quiet. Bihar team could not touch the figure of 150 in both the innings.

Strong performance by Rinku-Madhav
In this match held in Rajgir, Bihar had decided to bowl first. This decision of Bihar proved to be very fatal for him. Opening batsman Kaushik and Rinku, who came at number five, thrashed the Bihar bowlers.
Kaushik scored 150 runs with the help of seven fours and three sixes, while Rinku played a brilliant inning of 112 runs with the help of eight fours and three sixes. Apart from this, Aaradhya Yadav contributed 84 runs and Zeeshan Ansari contributed 58 runs, due to which UP scored 540 runs in the first innings.

The pressure of UP's big score was clearly visible on Bihar's batting. Bihar's first innings was reduced to just 141 runs. Mangal Mahror played the biggest inning of 25 runs for Bihar. For UP, Karthik Yadav and Karan Sharma took four wickets each. Bihar's second innings was all out for just 132 runs. This time again Mangal scored the maximum runs for the team. He scored 27 runs with the help of five fours. Zeeshan Ansari took four wickets for UP. Whereas, Karan Sharma took three wickets and Karthik Yadav took two wickets.
Let us tell you that UP will now play its next match against Baroda on 18th October. The team will once again expect better performance from experienced batsmen Rinku and Kaushik.
