It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve Bharat Mata and Tamil Nadu under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji.
From the son of daily wage laborers to serving in the Union Council of Ministers under the leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji has been the greatest privilege of my life.
Now, I wish to return to the grassroots, stand with our workers and dedicate myself full-time to strengthening the BJP in Tamil Nadu ahead of the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.

In his letter L. Murugan (L. Murugan) wrote, 'Your recent visit to Tamil Nadu has left a deep impression on me. Everywhere I saw how lovingly people welcomed you and how much hope your presence gave them. Their enthusiasm reflects their deep belief in the bright future that you are working to create for Tamil Nadu. Seeing your dedication to our state and the love our people have for you makes me feel proud and grateful and strengthens my resolve to do more for Tamil Nadu, our party and our country.
L Murugan has been associated with the party since his student days.

In his letter, L Murugan said that I do not come from any political family. I am from a very poor family. My parents, who worked as daily wage laborers and herders, are still living a simple life in Konur village. He would never have imagined that his son would one day serve in the central government. Inspired by the nationalist ideas of Mahakavi Bharati, Sardar Patel and Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, I joined ABVP during my college days. My basic mantra for almost thirty years in ABVP and BJP has been this – nation first, party second and me last.
BJP will get strength in the state organization
Let us tell you that L Murugan was elected to Rajya Sabha for the first time in 2021. After this, he was sent to Rajya Sabha for the second time in 2024. After Murugan's resignation, his Tamil Nadu seat in the Rajya Sabha will become vacant. Murugan will now work to strengthen the party's organization in the state. Murugan's move to the grassroots level is expected to strengthen the BJP organizationally in the state.
