Actress Akshaaraa Haasan has shared rare black-and-white childhood photographs with her parents, actor-politician Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika, expressed gratitude for being born into their family.
Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Akshaaraa wrote, “Over the years these pictures are one of the best gifts I could have ever received.” Thanks Shyam Tekwani for capturing the moments, she added, “Grateful.” to be born to my parents. So proud of my legacy. Made me! strength is a feeling and not just genes.”
On the professional front, Akshaaraa was last seen in Simulacra, in which she played Nivi. she said the role demanded a different level of maturity and permitted her to explore new emotional complexities as a actor.
“Nivi is a very different character that I've played. This time I feel it required a different maturity level as a person and therefore a character,” she said, addition that the layered story helped her discovered another side of myself as a performer. she described the experience as challenging and said she really enjoyed playing the character.
Set in the near future, Simulacra depicts a society where human lives are governed by neural brain chips and technology companies allowed people to tailor, rewrite or erase their memories. The story follows two pedestrians, eyes, played by Satyajeet Dubey, and Nivi, played by Aksharaa Hassan, whose paths cross in a world increasingly reliant on transhumanism.
