Lifestyle Desk:- Everyone wants long, thick and shiny hair, but the problem of dryness, breakage and increasing hair fall sometimes increases the problem. In such a situation, people start spending money on expensive hair serums and hair care products. However, some easy home remedies can also be tried for hair care. Hair serum can be prepared at home from things like rice, fenugreek and aloe vera. These can help in softening and conditioning the hair. Let us know the method of making and using it.
What is needed to make hair serum from rice and fenugreek?
2 spoon rice, 1 spoon fenugreek seeds, 2-3 spoon aloe vera gel, 1 cup water
How to prepare hair serum at home?
first step
First of all wash the rice thoroughly. Now put rice, fenugreek seeds and water in a vessel and soak it for some time. If you want, you can cook them on low flame until the rice becomes soft and the water becomes a little thick.
second step
After the mixture cools down, filter it through a clean cloth or fine sieve. Keep in mind that there should not be any rice or fenugreek seeds left in the serum, so that it is easy to apply it on the hair.
third step
Now add aloe vera gel in filtered water and beat it well. This will make the texture of the mixture a little thicker. If the mixture seems too thick, some clean water can be added to it.
fourth step
Pour the prepared mixture into a clean container. Since water and natural ingredients have been used in it, do not use it by keeping it at room temperature for a long time. It is better to make it in small quantities and use it immediately. Keep the remaining mixture in the refrigerator and use it within 24 hours. If you notice any change in colour, smell or texture, throw it away.
How to apply this homemade serum on hair?
Apply the serum gently to the lengths and ends of clean hair. If you want to apply it on the scalp, first do a patch test on a small part of the skin. Do not use it if there is any itching, burning or redness. After keeping it in the hair for about 20-30 minutes, you can wash it with a mild shampoo. Initially try using it once a week. The nature of each person's hair and scalp is different, so just because someone else has benefited from it does not mean that you will get the same results.
How can these three ingredients be beneficial for hair?
Rice – The starch present in rice can form a temporary layer on the surface of the hair, making the hair feel soft and shiny for some time. However, there is not enough scientific evidence available that rice water increases hair growth.
Fenugreek seeds-Fenugreek contains some compounds that have been studied in the context of hair and skin care. But strong scientific evidence for the claim that applying fenugreek water increases hair growth or stops hair fall is still limited.
Aloe Vera Gel-Aloe Vera Gel can help in moisturizing the hair and scalp. This may reduce the feeling of dryness. However, it cannot be considered a proven treatment for hair growth.
Keep these things in mind for hair growth
It is not right to depend only on serum to keep hair healthy. Eating, sleep, stress and hair care habits are also important. Include enough protein, iron and other essential nutrients in your diet. Avoid tying hair too tightly, frequent heat styling, and drying wet hair by rubbing it vigorously.
If hair is falling continuously, mange is widening or empty space has started appearing on the head, consult a dermatologist. Iron deficiency, thyroid problems and other health conditions can also cause hair loss.
