Istanbul. Thanks to the brilliant performance of star player Lamin Yamal, Barcelona recorded its second consecutive win by defeating Galatasaray 4-1 in the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 on Tuesday.
Barcelona made a strong comeback after falling behind by one goal in the match played at Rams Park in Istanbul on Tuesday. Yamal assisted two goals and played a key role in the team’s victory.
With this win, Barcelona moved to the top of the points table along with Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon. All three teams have won both their matches so far. At the same time, Turkey’s legendary club Galatasaray remains at the bottom of the table without points.
In the initial phase of the match, Barcelona controlled the ball and made several attacks, but Galatasaray scored the first goal.
On an attempt by Russia’s Alexei Batrakov, the ball changed direction after being hit by Joao Cancelo and went into the goal. In this way the host team took the lead.
Just before the end of the first half, Cancelo equalized for Barcelona by converting Dani Olmo’s pass. Both the teams were tied at 1-1 till half-time.
In the second half, Yamal gave a new edge to Barcelona’s attack. He gave a brilliant pass to Fermín López to score the goal and give Barcelona a 2–1 lead.
Three minutes later, Yamal beat Eren Elmali in three different ways in a very short space and passed to Gordon, who sent the ball into the goal to increase the team’s lead to 3-1.
After this, Spain’s young player Yamal also assisted Karim Adeyemi’s goal. With this fourth goal, Barcelona strengthened its hold on the match and eventually won 4–1.
Barcelona continued their strong start in the Champions League with a second consecutive win. The team is joint top with Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon.
On the other hand, Galatasaray has faced defeat in both its opening matches and the team will now try to improve its position in the points table.
