Government campaign will reach every village of UP, Yogi government gave these instructions to District Magistrates

UP News: In view of the upcoming festive season, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big step regarding health and cleanliness in rural areas. To ensure that there is no risk of any kind of filth or infectious diseases spreading in the villages of the state amidst the excitement of festivals, preparations have been completed to run a comprehensive cleanliness campaign in the entire state. The government has made it clear that during all the major festivals falling from October to December, the cleanliness system in every gram panchayat should remain completely fine. For this, strict instructions have been sent from the government level to all the District Magistrates, so that the work at the ground level can start immediately.

Attack on diseases during festive season

After the rainy season and with the onset of winter, the risk of diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya increases. Keeping this risk in mind, the Panchayati Raj Department has already geared up this time. In the letter issued by Special Secretary Panchayati Raj Rajesh Kumar Tyagi on October 9, all the District Magistrates and concerned officers have been asked to become active immediately. The main objective of this campaign is not only to remove garbage, but also to eliminate the problem of waterlogging and completely stop the breeding of mosquitoes.

Special plan prepared for 14 major festivals

A total of 14 important festivals and celebrations have been included in the list prepared by the government. These include big events like Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti, Dussehra, Diwali, Chhath Puja, Kartik Purnima and Christmas. On all these occasions, huge crowds gather at village temples, puja pandals, intersections and fair places. The government has directed that all such public places should be thoroughly cleaned before the start of the event and as soon as the event is over, the garbage should be immediately collected and the place should be cleaned.

Special preparations on the ghats of rivers and lakes

On holy occasions like Chhath Puja and Kartik Purnima, a large number of people gather on the banks of rivers, lakes and ponds. In view of this, the government has ordered to conduct special cleaning campaigns at all Amrit Sarovars, ponds and river ghats. Moss, dirt and plastic waste will be completely removed from the steps and banks of the ghats. Along with this, keeping in mind the safety of the people, proper arrangements for barricading and lighting will also be made on the ghats. Special teams of sanitation workers will be deployed for the maintenance and immediate cleaning of these ghats, which will work continuously.

Garbage disposal and spraying of medicines

Under the campaign, complete cleaning of drains will be done within the villages, so that water does not accumulate anywhere. Wherever waterlogging is found, arrangements will be made to drain the water immediately. After this, anti-larva chemical spraying and fogging will be done regularly on the stagnant water and garbage heaps. A concrete strategy has also been made for the management of heavy waste generated during festivals. The waste generated from the villages will be directly transported to the Resource Recovery Centers (RRCs), where its proper disposal will be ensured, so that mountains of garbage are not left outside the villages.

Pure drinking water and basic facilities

Instructions have been given to make concrete arrangements for pure drinking water for the villagers at fair sites, major haat markets and crowded places. For this, repair of public hand pumps, cleaning of water tanks and deployment of water tankers will be done. Officials say that drinking water sources are also being tested to prevent diseases spread through contaminated water, so that the joy of festivals does not become a cause of illness for any family.

Strict monitoring started at administrative level

Strict steps are being taken at the district level to take the campaign out of paper and make it effective on the ground. District Panchayat Raj Officer GD Jain said that as per the instructions of the government, this campaign will be run in all the gram panchayats of the district and the work will be monitored by activating the concerned employees. District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan has clarified that instructions have been given to the officers for regular monitoring to ensure cleanliness, pure drinking water and security arrangements in rural areas. Its objective is that every rural citizen of Uttar Pradesh can celebrate all his festivals in a clean and safe environment.
