Amrit Thoughts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a big step towards the development of Ladakh and strengthening its strategic connectivity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated five projects worth Rs 3,350 crore, including airport infrastructure and strategic roads, online.

From airport infrastructure development to strategic road construction in the region, five projects worth Rs 3,350 crore are being considered important for Ladakh. These projects are expected to give a new impetus to the transport facilities, connectivity system and infrastructure in the region.

During this, PM Modi said that a new chapter is being added in the progress and development of Ladakh. While congratulating the people of Ladakh for the projects, he praised the engineers, workers, local people and Border Roads Organization (BRO) employees engaged in completing them. He said, “Our special focus is on the new generation of Ladakh.

The youth here should get better education, opportunities to learn new technologies and they do not have to depend on other cities for these facilities. For this purpose, a Center of Excellence is being built in Leh.

Emphasis on development from airport to road

Better connectivity has special importance in a remote geographical area like Ladakh. Due to high mountains, harsh weather and challenging roads, development of transport facilities is not easy here. In such a situation, strengthening the airport infrastructure and expanding the strategic road network can help in meeting the needs of the region. Being a border region, the importance of road connectivity in Ladakh is not limited only to the movement of common citizens. Better roads make access to remote areas easier and also help in the supply of essential goods and services. Development of strategic roads is also considered important from security related needs.

Investment in infrastructure can benefit local people by improving transport and connectivity facilities. Better connectivity can also be helpful in promoting tourism, trade and economic activities. However, the real benefits of these projects will depend on their construction, timely completion and effective operation.

Development and connectivity will get a new direction

Emphasis has been laid on strengthening infrastructure in Ladakh through five projects worth Rs 3,350 crore. Airport and strategic road schemes can prove to be important steps towards improving connectivity amid the geographical challenges of the region.
