Bollywood actor Nushrratt Bharuccha met with an unfortunate accident in Bali and was airlifted to Mumbai for spine surgery. The actor underwent spine surgery last week and, after a successful operation and hospital care, has been discharged.
An official statement shared by her team confirmed that the surgery went well and that she is now back home, focusing on her recovery. The statement also thanked fans and well-wishers for their love, prayers and support during this difficult time.
The official statement read, “After going through a difficult and challenging phase following her unfortunate accident, Nushrratt Bharuccha has successfully undergone spine surgery. We are relieved to share that the surgery went well, and she has now been discharged from the hospital.”
The actress’ team further stated, “Nushrratt is finally back home, surrounded by care and comfort, as she begins the important journey towards recovery. While the road to complete recovery will take time, she remains positive and is focusing on healing and regaining her strength.”
Last week, Nushrratt took to her Instagram Stories and shared a glimpse into her healing journey. In the video, she was seen smiling from her hospital bed while Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s romantic song ‘Gerua’ played on the television.
In the video, a medical staff member was seen feeding Nushrratt while she watched the song on TV.
Sharing the moment, Nushrratt wrote, “And just like that, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol bring a smile to my face. A reminder, things get better… little by little… they always do. Healing slowly, dreaming endlessly.”

Nushrratt suffered a spinal fracture during a work-cum-holiday trip to Bali. Following the accident, she received initial medical attention in Indonesia before arrangements were made to bring her back to Mumbai in an air ambulance for surgery.
Her team confirmed the injury in an official statement, explaining that her immediate priority was receiving the necessary medical treatment. The statement also indicated that the actress would require adequate rest and time to recover, potentially affecting her upcoming professional commitments.
The news of her injury had raised concerns among fans, particularly after visuals of her arrival in Mumbai for treatment circulated online.

Despite the unexpected health setback, Nushrratt has several professional commitments ahead. She was last seen in Ufff Yeh Siyapaa, which also featured Sohum Shah and Nora Fatehi.
The actress is also set to appear opposite Tiger Shroff in an untitled action film directed by Remo D’Souza. The project reportedly features Pashmina Roshan, Abhishek Banerjee and Elvish Yadav.
