Powerful entry of Audi Q3! Price 51.99 lakh, will create a stir with new look and luxury features

Automobile Desk: German automobile manufacturer Audi has officially introduced the third-generation model of its popular premium SUV Q3 in the Indian automobile market. Strengthening its 14-year-long presence in the Indian market, the company has launched this new SUV with many major cosmetic and mechanical changes. The starting ex-showroom price of this all-new Audi Q3 in the Indian market has been fixed at Rs 51.99 lakh. The company has made many premium upgrades from its exterior design to cabin layout.

In terms of design, the new Audi Q3 looks quite bold and modern compared to its older model. Its front part has a new slit-LED headlamp set-up, in which the LED DRLs placed at the top also act as dynamic indicators. Apart from this, to further improve the lighting in the vehicles, digital matrix LED headlamp technology has been used, which has the ability to control about 25,600 different pixels. To make the front profile more attractive, it has been given a new honeycomb pattern grille and a new 2D Audi logo.

Talking about the side profile, it gets new 18-inch alloy wheels, self-leveling wheel caps and silver finished roof rails. The chrome strip extending from the driver side window to the C-pillar gives a premium touch to the side look of the car. A new split LED tail lamp setup has been provided in the rear profile, to connect which a thin light bar has been used. Along with this, illuminated Audi logo and silver finish plate can also be seen at the rear.

In terms of dimensions, the new Q3 has become bigger than before. The overall length of this SUV is 4,531 mm, width is 1,859 mm and height is 1,623 mm, while its wheelbase is kept at 2,681 mm. Compared to the previous model, its length has been increased by 44 mm, width by 10 mm and height by 7 mm. Along with ample space for passengers inside the cabin, it also has a large boot space of 488 litres, which will be useful for storing luggage during long journeys.

As soon as you step inside the cabin, the biggest change is visible on its steering wheel and dashboard. The old 3-spoke steering wheel has now been replaced by a new 4-spoke hexagonal steering wheel. A curved display unit has been installed on the dashboard, which includes an 11.9-inch digital driver display and a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen. Although the gear selector has now been shifted to the steering column, the company has retained the option of physical buttons for important settings like driving modes and traction control.

The feature list includes panoramic sunroof, 12-speaker Sonos sound system, head-up display, three-zone climate control, leather upholstery, wireless charging pad and 9 airbags for safety. Rear AC vents, two USB Type-C charging ports and foldable armrest are also provided for the convenience of rear passengers.

Talking about performance, the new Audi Q3 has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This engine generates maximum power of 204 HP and torque of 320 Nm. Compared to the old model, its power has increased by 14 HP. This engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which transmits power to all four wheels of the car through an all-wheel drive (AWD) system. For better driving experience, it also has the option of paddle shifters.
