Taylor Swift finally performs ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ live after months of waiting

Taylor Swift has finally let fans hear the live version of her hit track The Fate of Ophelia for the first time at the 6th annual Academy Museum Gala.

On Saturday, October 17, the 36-year-old pop star graced the event at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Miracle Mile in Los Angeles, where she treated guests to a performance of the chart-topping lead single from her 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl.

In clips circulating online, Swift could be seen performing The Fate of Opheliacaptivating the audience with her powerful vocals.

She turned heads in a sparkling gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, a figure-hugging fit and a flowing skirt for the performance.

Before taking the stage, the Fire it up hitmaker made a glamorous red carpet appearance in an icy blue Dior gown reminiscent of Cinderella.

In a statement released earlier this month, Amy Homma, Director and President of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection, praised Swift’s artistry, noting, “Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world.”

Announcing the 14-time Grammy winner’s performance, she added, “We are thrilled to welcome her to this year’s gala and look forward to her performance to close a wonderful evening of honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema.”
