Three suspects have been arrested from Kota, Rajasthan in connection with the firing on Tiger Shroff's car. According to the police, the accused include a Rapido rider, a youth working as a laborer in Haryana and a minor. The investigation has also revealed Anil Pandit's alleged contacts and plan to flee to Nepal.
Tezzbuzz Desk – Many important information has come to light in the police investigation in the case of firing on the car of Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. Rajasthan Police caught three suspects from the general bogie of Pune-Jaipur Express at Kota railway station. According to the police, after committing the crime, the accused were planning to escape from Mumbai and go to Nepal via Delhi. However, after receiving information from Mumbai Police, Kota Police took action and caught him.
According to the police, the arrested suspects have been identified as Rehan alias Sukka, resident of Sonipat, Haryana, Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, resident of Begusarai, Bihar and a minor. Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam said that Hrithik was living in Mumbai for the last few years, while Rehan used to work as a laborer in Sonipat. One of the three arrested is a minor.
Initial police investigation revealed that Anil Pandit had contacted Rehan. After this, Rehan attached a minor resident of Sonipat with him for this work. According to the police, after this Rehan, the minor and Hrithik together fired at Tiger Shroff's car. SP Tejaswini Gautam also said that Anil works for Pandit Lawrence Bishnoi.
According to the police, Mumbai Police had shared information with Rajasthan Police to nab the accused. At around 9:45 am on Monday morning, Kota Police received information that the three main suspects in the firing case were traveling by Pune-Jaipur Express and the train was about to reach Kota. The train reached Kota station at 10:17 am. After this, Kota Police alerted the Railway Protection Force and started a search operation at the station.
According to SP Tejaswini Gautam, within about 15 minutes of receiving the information, the police took action and conducted a thorough search of the train and arrested the three suspects. Police also kept vigil at the exit points, platforms and other places of the station during the operation. Officials said that the process of handing over the suspects to Mumbai Police will be done soon.
Initial police interrogation revealed that one of the accused was a Rapido rider. Rehan used to work as a laborer in Sonipat, while the third accused is a minor. According to the police, the intention of the three was to reach Delhi by train and escape to Nepal from there. Investigation also revealed that Rehan was already in contact with Anil Pandit.
Kota Police, based on interrogation, said that the alleged motive of the attackers was to threaten the actor. However, the investigation into the entire conspiracy behind the firing, role of the accused and other possible contacts is ongoing.
On Sunday evening, three attackers opened fire on Tiger Shroff's car in Juhu area of Mumbai. According to the police, three rounds were fired at the actor's car. Tiger Shroff escaped safely, but his driver and another person were reported injured.
After the incident, a video surfaced on social media claiming responsibility for the attack on behalf of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, according to the police, the authenticity of the video is yet to be verified.
Weapons have not been recovered yet in this case. SP Tejaswini Gautam said that after interrogating the accused, an attempt will be made to find out where the weapons are and what was done to them after the incident. Police are also investigating the contacts of Anil Pandit and Rehan.
