Imran Khan's troubles increased in Mumbai
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Imran Khan, who is Aamir Khan's nephew, has been ordered by the Mumbai Police to leave the country. According to reports, they have been asked to leave India by October 28. This action has been taken after he participated in a political protest held in Mumbai recently.
Case of participation in political demonstration
According to a report in India Today, police say that Imran Khan, being a foreign national, took part in the political demonstration, which is a violation of the Immigration Act. It is being said that Imran has American citizenship, although this has not been officially confirmed.
October 10 protest
Imran Khan had participated in the protest held at August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai on October 10. The demonstration was organized over the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the issue of SIR. 🚨 Mumbai Police has directed Bollywood actor Imran Khan to leave India by October 28 because he participated in a protest in India despite being a US citizen. Hopefully, German Shepherd Dhruv Rathee will also be deported to Germany or face strict legal action. https://t.co/9uqgJZd9zj

Imran's statement
While talking to the media, Imran had said that he was present there not for any special demand, but as an ordinary citizen. He said, “I have come here as a person living in this city. I want to see why the movement of people is being restricted and why the voices are being suppressed.”
Action under Immigration Act
According to the police, under India's Immigration and Foreigners Act, no foreign national can participate in any political movement or demonstration in the country. This notice has been issued against Imran due to violation of this rule.
BJP leader's demand for action
Earlier, former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya had demanded action against Imran Khan. He had written a letter to the Joint Commissioner of Mumbai Police saying that Imran is a foreign citizen and he does not have the right to participate in political protests. Somaiya had written on social media, “Imran Khan should be immediately expelled from the country.” At present, there has been no official response from Imran Khan after this notice.
