The scope of investigation in the case of firing on actor Tiger Shroff’s car has reached Delhi and Haryana. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested four people including two women. According to the police, they are accused of playing a role in arranging the weapons used in the attack and delivering them to the attackers.
The arrested accused have been identified as Kunal, Sumit, Radha and Babita. The police have handed him over to Mumbai Police. The investigating agencies are now investigating the supply of weapons, alleged conspiracy and the contacts of the accused with the attackers.
Who played what role in Tiger Shroff firing case?
According to the police, Kunal and Sumit are accused of arranging weapons, while Radha and Babita had allegedly reached Mumbai with weapons. Investigation has revealed that both the women had handed over a bag full of weapons to a person in Dadar area of Mumbai.
Radha and Babita were arrested from New Delhi railway station, while Kunal and Sumit were caught from Sonipat in Haryana. Kunal and Sumit are residents of Sonipat. Radha is said to be a resident of Sitapur and Babita of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
Accused of bringing weapons from Amritsar
According to police investigation, 21-year-old Kunal had recently come out of jail on bail. He reportedly came in contact with Anil Pandit through a friend from Harsana village. Police allege that Anil Pandit is associated with the gang which had conspired to attack Tiger Shroff.
According to investigating agencies, Kunal had brought a pistol and 20 cartridges from Amritsar. About two months ago he met Radha. It is alleged that he prepared Radha to deliver the weapons to Mumbai.
Weapons transported from Delhi to Mumbai
According to the police, on October 15, Kunal had taken Radha and Babita to New Delhi railway station. From there both the women left for Mumbai. During this time, the accused were allegedly in touch through an encrypted messaging app and Kunal was conveying Anil Pandit’s instructions to him.
Two days later, Radha and Babita reached Dadar station in Mumbai and stayed in a hotel. According to investigation, after this a minor boy took the bag containing weapons from Radha. The next day there was an incident of firing on Tiger Shroff’s car.
Police say that on the day of the incident, Radha and Babita had returned to Delhi by boarding Haridwar Express from Dadar.
How was the firing on Tiger Shroff’s car?
This incident took place in Juhu area of Mumbai on Sunday evening. Actor Tiger Shroff had gone to play football. Meanwhile, his BMW car was coming out of the gate of a compound. There was a crowd of fans present there.
It is alleged that two attackers opened fire on the car from the front. According to the report, 6 to 7 rounds were fired. One of the attackers aimed towards the actor, but his gun jammed. Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped this. The actor’s driver and another person present there were injured in the incident.
Three alleged attackers were caught from Kota
Earlier, the police had arrested Hrithik alias Roshan (22) from Bihar, Rehan (18) and Phool Singh (18) from Haryana from Kota, Rajasthan. According to reports, all three were trying to escape to Nepal.
The investigating agencies are also reportedly probing the links of these accused with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. It has also come to light that the gang has taken responsibility for the attack.
Wasn’t Tiger Shroff the real target?
The NDTV report, quoting sources, claimed that the initial target of the attackers was another high-profile person. During interrogation, the three alleged attackers told the police that they had come to Mumbai with the intention of killing another person.
According to the report, after doing recce of the person’s movement places, the attackers realized that they would not be able to reach him. After this he allegedly targeted Tiger Shroff. Sources claim that they got information about the actor’s security arrangements after watching his reels on social media.
According to sources, the intention of the attackers was to spread terror in Bollywood by killing the actor. This claim is part of an investigation and is yet to be independently verified.
Claim of giving advance of Rs 50 thousand for the attack
According to reports quoting sources, an advance of Rs 50,000 was given to the alleged attackers. He was also promised more money and other work.
The main focus of the police investigation is now on finding out the supply chain of weapons, the people involved in the alleged conspiracy and the motive behind the attack. The role of the accused in the case and the claims related to the conspiracy are yet to be confirmed through investigation and legal process.
