Mumbai Police's action has intensified in the firing case at Tiger Shroff's house. 7 more accused have been arrested during the investigation. According to the police, two women were allegedly used as couriers for the supply of weapons and an advance of Rs 1 lakh was given to the accused.
Tezzbuzz Desk – Mumbai Police has arrested seven more people in the case of firing targeting film actor Tiger Shroff. On Wednesday, police said that this action has been taken on the basis of clues found during initial investigation and interrogation. So far, a total of 10 people have been arrested in this case, including two women.
According to Mumbai Police, out of the seven arrested accused, four have been caught from Delhi and three from Haryana. He is being brought to Mumbai and will be produced in court on Thursday for further legal action. The police is now trying to find out who played what role in the firing conspiracy and who gave instructions to the accused.
Weapons delivered through two women
According to DCP Rajtilak Roshan of Mumbai Police, the two male accused had gone to Amritsar and brought weapons from there. Police allege that two women were used as couriers to transport the weapons to Mumbai. One of the accused was staying in Mumbai and providing logistical support to the three alleged shooters.
According to the police, the weapons were brought to Mumbai via train. However, the weapons used in the firing have not been recovered yet. Police are investigating the role of people involved in the supply chain and transportation of weapons.
Claim to give advance of one lakh rupees
Investigation has revealed that an advance amount of Rs 1 lakh was given to the accused. According to the police, this money was given in small installments instead of giving it all at once. Now the investigating officers are investigating the links of money transactions, so that the people who gave the money and those who delivered it to the accused can be identified.
Police said that the four accused arrested in Delhi know each other. The investigating agencies are investigating their mutual contacts and their role in the alleged conspiracy.
Police statement on the discussion of targeting other film artists
There have been discussions on social media and WhatsApp about other film artistes also being targeted. However, Mumbai Police has not yet given any confirmation in this regard. Police officials say that the investigation is still in the initial stage and the interrogation of the accused is going on. In such a situation, it would be too early to draw any conclusions regarding any possible target.
At present, the police's focus is on recovery of weapons used in the firing, investigation of financial transactions and identification of other people involved in the conspiracy.
