Indian map scene removed from Ayushmann Khurrana's Udaan Teer, Censor Board made changes.

New Delhi . Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's upcoming film 'Udta Teer' is going to be released in theaters on 23 October 2026. Ahead of its release, the film has received a UA 13+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. However, during the certification process, instructions have been given to change one scene of the film and include some warning messages. After the final editing of the film is completed, its duration has been fixed at 2 hours 17 minutes 31 seconds.

'Udta Teer' is a film produced by Karan Johar, which has been in the news since its trailer was released. Its story revolves around a Pakistani spy who loses his memory after coming to India. After this he starts considering himself an Indian patriot. There is curiosity among the audience about the story and subject of the film. Now a few days before the release, the changes suggested by the Censor Board are also in discussion.

The most important change in the film has been made in a scene related to the Indian map. In this scene, splatters of blood were visible on the map of India. This part was asked to be removed during the certification process. The filmmakers then removed the scene in question from the final version. The duration of the shot immediately preceding the scene was extended to fill the gap in story flow caused by the scene being removed. In this way, the scene was removed by making changes in the editing of the film.

Apart from this, it has been revealed that anti-smoking warning messages have been included in five scenes of the film. The purpose of these messages is to make the audience aware of the harm caused by smoking. Another scene in the film shows a character drinking alcohol. For this part also, manufacturers have been asked to include warnings related to alcohol consumption. Thus the changes are not limited to just removing a scene, but also adding necessary warning messages with some scenes.

It is not instructed to make changes to any dialogue or action scene during authentication. The final version of the film is reported to have a duration of 137.41 minutes, which equates to a total of 2 hours 17 minutes and 31 seconds. This period follows changes related to the editing and certification of film. Apart from the scheduled time, the audience will also have to keep extra time for traveling and other formalities to watch the film in the theatre.

'Udta Teer' also holds special significance because of late actor Mukul Dev. He died in May 2025 and in this film he will be seen for the last time on the big screen. Gulshan Grover, Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose and Supriya Pilgaonkar will also be seen in the film along with Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan. The film is directed by Akash Kaushik.

  • This film is one of the upcoming projects for Ayushmann Khurrana. After this he will also be seen in 'Yeh Prem Mol Liya' and 'Mupapa'. Currently, the release of 'Udta Teer' is scheduled for October 23. The audience will be keeping an eye on how the story and presentation of the film unfolds in the final version prepared after certification.
