Harry Styles’ heated exchange with man in NYC has fans coming to his defence

Harry Styles appeared visibly upset while confronting a man who allegedly asked him for an autograph during his walk in New York City.

On Wednesday, October 21, the 32-year-old English singer-songwriter and actor was spotted pointing his finger at the man and shouting during the tense encounter. The man was reportedly carrying a vinyl copy of his 2019 album, Fine Line.

Although the circumstances surrounding the interaction remain unknown, TMZ reported that the man had approached Styles for an autograph. Footage and pictures captured the two arguing with each other.

A third man was then seen stepping between the pair in an apparent attempt to de-escalate the confrontation, while the One Direction alum, dressed in a blue hoodie, cap and sunglasses, walked away.

Fans’ reactions

Shortly after the clip of the encounter went viral online, fans came to Styles’ defence, praising him for standing his ground and questioning whether the man in question was an autograph seller who profits from celebrity signatures.

“that man was following and harassing harry for a LONG time, harry had every right to stand his ground,” one user wrote on Instagram.

Another added, “Harry is someone who takes photos with people and waves to them from his bike, if he is arguing with someone, he must have a reason. Poor Harry.”

“I can guarantee he would be trying to sell it afterwards,” a third commented.

A fourth fan remarked, “Seeing Harry angry is so unsettling, because it’s so rare. Seems to take a lot for him to get to this point.”
