Pooja means a lot of trouble! Night after night wandering from one pandal to another. There is joy, maybe even the opportunity to sleep continuously after returning home. But even then the fatigue does not go away. Not only the dark circles, but the skin as a whole looks dull. But the end of Puja means back to work. No more time to rest (Refresh Tired Eyes).
But what can be done? Here are some simple home remedies to reduce eye strain.
1. Apply cold to the eyes
If your eyes are swollen in the morning after walking all night, you can apply cold compress. Soak a clean soft cloth in cold water and keep it on the closed eyes for five to ten minutes. If desired, you can also use cucumber slices washed in clean, cold water. But do not apply ice directly on the eyes.
2. No compromise with sleep
After watching puja all night and returning home, rest as much as possible the next day. Adults generally need seven to nine hours of sleep per night. Maintaining a regular sleep routine is extremely important.
3. Apply moisturizer around the eyes
The skin around the eyes is relatively thin and sensitive. Use a mild moisturizer after cleansing the face. You can also use unscented ice cream. But if you use a new cosmetic, be careful if it causes irritation or discomfort. Do not apply the cream too close to the eyes.
4. Drink water, watch your food
Many people forget to drink enough water while traveling during the night of Puja. Fatigue can be felt more when the body is dehydrated. So drink water regularly throughout the day. Also, keep fruits, vegetables and nutritious food in the diet. It is better not to eat excessively salty food.
5. Rest the eyes
If you work on mobile or laptop for a long time after returning home after wandering around the mandap all night, your eyes get tired. If your eyes feel dry, consciously blink repeatedly. If necessary, suitable lubricating eye drops can be used on the advice of the doctor. If you have eye discomfort, remove contact lenses.

6. Make eye makeup look good
If you use kajal, eyeliner, mascara or glitter for puja, remove them well after coming home at night. Use a mild makeup remover. If cosmetics get into eyes, wash with clean water.
However, if you experience symptoms such as severe eye pain, changes in vision, excessive redness, difficulty in tolerating light or eye swelling, consult a doctor.
