What difficulties is the Mohan government facing?
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav himself is on the target of Congress. Congress has accused him of alleged land scam in Ujjain. The Congress government has often been surrounded by this issue. Congress has demanded the government to release a white paper, conduct an investigation under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge and Yadav's resignation until the investigation is completed.
Congress keeps cornering the Mohan Yadav government over a report by Indian Express. The report had claimed that after Mohan Yadav became the Chief Minister, his family and real estate companies had bought about 137 plots in Ujjain for about Rs 45 crore in two years.
Most of the new road projects and master plans are near areas that have changed land use from agriculture to residential and commercial. BJP has termed these allegations as baseless and said that the family has been in real estate for a long time. Due to corruption in the Municipal Corporation, the Mohan government is now the target of the opposition.
